Sanya Malhotra on working with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan: ‘It’s a dream come true’

It is a dream come true for Sanya Malhotra to be cast alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the superstar’s latest film Jawan. The Atlee-directed movie has already crossed the 500-crore mark at the box office worldwide, making it SRK’s second blockbuster film of the year. Along with Shah Rukh, the film features Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Eijaz Khan and Aaliyah Qureshi in key roles. In a recent Q&A session on Instagram, Sanya spoke about her experience of working with ‘King Khan’.

Sanya’s experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan

An Instagram user asked Sanya about her experience working in Jawan and with Shah Rukh, to which Sanya replied, “It was fantastic and definitely a dream come true for me. I can't believe it still, but I am so happy that everybody loved it and I too loved it. I have watched it twice but will be watching it again with friends and family.”

Sanya on her love for Shah Rukh Khan

Another user asked her how it was working with SRK, to which Sanya replied that it was amazing and hopes that she would get to work with him again because she got to learn so much from him and just being around him was so surreal for her as an actor. “I can’t believe that I am a part of Jawan and definitely a dream come true for me because I too am from Delhi and during my initial days in Mumbai, every time I was in a bad mood I would go to his house in band stand and pump myself,” she added.

In the Q&A session, Sanya shared some behind the scenes pictures from her Jawan shoot days and a video of her training for Jawan’s action sequences.

Jawan is the first collaboration between SRK and Atlee. The music of the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and it is produced by Red Chilles Entertainment.
