Sanya Malhotra on working with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan: 'It's a dream role, a dream film'

One of the best actors in the Hindi cinema business is Sanya Malhotra. The actress established herself in the industry by giving standout performances in films like Pagglait and Dangal, among many others. The actor is presently getting up for Kathal, her upcoming movie that will soon be available on Netflix. 

The news that Sanya would appear in Atlee's next movie Jawan has generated a lot of buzz. With none other than the charming Shah Rukh Khan, the actress is prepared to share the screen. Despite the actor's extended silence over her involvement in the movie, she has now spoken up about it and discussed both her character and her role. 

The actress shared, "I am excited because I can finally talk about it. Before this I would give some really weird answers every time I was asked whether I am in Jawan or not. I always hoped to work with SRK one day, so it is a dream come true. I cannot wait to see myself around him… it is a dream role, a dream film. Just to be around him makes me really happy."

According to reports, Sanya finished filming for her scene in Jawan in 2022. Shah Rukh is currently filming for the film. If reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone will also make a special appearance in the film. The movie was previously scheduled to open in theatres on June 2. Shah Rukh just revealed the updated Jawan release date. The new release date is September 7. 

Meanwhil, on the work front, besides Kathal, Sanya Malhotra also has Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur and the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen in her kitty.
