Saqib Saleem and Shriya Pilgaonkar starrer Crackdown season 2 to be out in 2022

A few days after the prep for Crackdown season two was announced, the team celebrated the first anniversary of the Voot series. The show created by Apoorva Lakhia features Saqib Saleem in the lead role along with Mohammed Iqbal Khan, Ankur Bhatia, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Rajesh Tailang. Shriya took to her social media pages and announced that the second season will be out in 2022.

The actor's post also features her photos posing with her co-stars from the sets and they are all smiles for the camera.

She shared a poster from the first season and captioned it as "#CrackdownS2 @vootselect @lakhiaapoorva @saqibsaleem #IqbaalKhan @rajeshtailang @waluschaa #comingsoon #action #Doubleagent #Crackdown #Season2."

Meanwhile, Apoorva had shared a teaser poster featuring a plane on a deserted area while people are diving from the sky to the rescue. Earlier during an interaction with Firstpost, Shriya was asked about why she picked up Crackdown. The actor said, "I think as an actor, I constantly want to explore different genres because that is how I will evolve as an artist. And action is something I had never done before."

She also said that the script for Crackdown was really interesting even concerning the fact that she was playing two different characters. Shriya also praised the emotional graph of her characters as being very well-written. 

About Apoorva Lakhia, the actor said that his forte lies in the action genre, thus the show felt like an out-and-out entertaining prospect for her.

Meanwhile, Shriya has been a part of several OTT titles namely Mirzapur streaming on Amazon Prime Video and The Gone Game which was released on Voot in 2020.
