Saqib Saleem recently spoke about how the arrival and consequent growth of streaming platforms in India has only helped him better his craft. The actor was speaking at a press event of Eros Now anthology Aisa Waisa Pyaar

According to Press Trust of India, the actor, who made his digital debut with ZEE5 series Rangbaaz, explained that the conversation of profits and box office performance has taken a back seat because of digital platforms. This has helped actors focus solely on their projects.

"The OTT (over-the-top platform) has made me feel secure as an actor. Now with the influx of the OTT platforms, actors have gone back to doing what they should be doing - just acting. We have gone back to focusing on our characters, graphs," he said.

Saleem said that because of OTT projects he has taken on roles that were out of his comfort zone and reach, something he has really enjoyed.

The actor said that he is also awaiting the release of Kabir Khan-directed sports drama 83 that chronicles the Indian cricket team's historic world cup win. In the film, he plays former Indian all-rounder Mohinder Amarnath. 83 will hit cinemas on 24 December.

In Aisa Waisa Pyaar Saleem will be seen alongside Nidhi Singh, Prit Kamani, Adah Sharma and Rajit Kapur. It releases on the platform on October 27.

Aisa Waisa Pyaar will explore different shades of love through four different relationships. The anthology is directed by Ashiish Patil. Saleem said he hopes that these stories will resonate with the audience.
