Not many know, but actor Alexx O'Nell played a significant role in Sara Ali Khan starrer Ae Watan Mere Watan. In a chat with Hindustan Times, he said that the Kedarnath actress is competent, dedicated, serious, and an invested actor.
Lauding Sara’s presence on the film’s sets, Alexx said, “I heard a lot about Sara being bubbly, prankster and always making jokes. But there weren't any pranks. I think I met the serious side of the Sara Ali Khan. She can do more than she was given in the past and bring depth and meaning to the portrayal of a character that is so inspiring. I would describe my experience with her as working with a very competent, dedicated, serious, and invested co-actor.”
Ae Watan Mere Watan is written and directed by Kannan Iyer and produced by Karan Johar.
On March 22, Saba Pataudi – Sara's aunt, addressed criticisms of Sara's performance in the film following her appearance in Netflix's Murder Mubarak by commenting on Karan Johar's post.
Responding to the hate-filled comments, Saba wrote, “Don’t judge something until you have seen it FIRST. She is actually brilliant! Mahsha’Allah.” Saba wrote this response to an Instagram user who commented on Karan’s Ae Watan Mere Watan post. Saba replied to a comment where a user expressed how the film’s theme looks interesting and questioned Sara’s acting skills.
