Sarangapani Jathakam is director Indraganti Mohana Krishna's new film that hit the screens on April 25, 2025. The film started with positive word of mouth, but sadly, the collections have a different story to tell. In just three days of its release, Sarangapani Jathakam has made only Rs 1.6 crore net worldwide, which is a shocker.

After a slow start, everyone expected the film to do well during the weekend, but that did not happen as Loser and Pelli Choopulu fame Priyadarshi's film made only Rs 56 lakhs on Sunday. Even the trade experts are shocked at the way the film has been rejected by the audience despite the lucrative summer holidays.
Indraganti has made super hit films like Astha Chamma and Gentleman in the past and has launched the likes of Nani. However, he scored a few flops in the recent past and made a comeback to the comedy genre, which is his favorite, with Sarangapani Jathakam.
All those who have seen the film praised the clean comedy and hilarious characters. But sadly, the general audience is in no mood to watch the film in theaters and is likely to give it a shot when the film lands on OTT.

Amazon Prime has bagged the digital rights to the film for a massive price, and this has landed the makers in the profit zone. Vennela Kishore played a key role in the film along with Viva Harsha, and their chemistry is being lauded big time.
Sarangapani Jathakam is about a young man who believes in astrology and goes to the extent of killing someone as his horoscope says so. How he comes out of this mess is the whole story of the film.
