It was earlier reported that Amazon Prime Video has bagged the digital rights of the movie. Sarangapani Jathakam will begin streaming on the popular OTT platform from 12 am on May 23. The comedy caper hit the screens on April 25, 2025, and worked mainly due to positive word of mouth. The film was also praised for the subtle yet humorous performance by Priyadarshi, who is widely recognised for his films such as Oke Oka Jeevitham, Spyder and 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu. His another recent film was Court – State vs a Nobody, a courtroom drama which is streaming on Netflix.
In spite of its average plot, Sarangapani Jathakam is a light-hearted watch with funny performances and plenty of appealing moments, according to OTTplay's review.

Sarangapani, a car salesman and obsessive believer in astrology, is the main character of the movie. He is in love with his manager, Mythili, and their families are supportive of their relationship. However, a respected astrologer foretells that Sarangapani will murder someone prior to his wedding, much to his shock. In an effort to avoid this, he will kill a random individual. The movie tracks the fallout from the choice he made and whether he will be caught for this crime. The film was directed by Indraganti Mohanakrishna and bankrolled by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies.
A well-known director, Indraganti has helmed a number of successful films, including Nani-starrers Gentleman and Ashta Chamma. Roopa Koduvayur, Vennela Kishore, Tanikella Bharani, Srinivas Avasarala, Naresh and Viva Harsha all have significant roles in Sarangapani Jathakam. This film's soundtrack has been composed by Vivek Sagar.
