Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who is a household name in Tamil and Telugu cinema, will be attempting something new. The actor has now turned into a director and will be making her debut with Saraswathi, which will also feature her as the protagonist.

Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, is now a director and has announced her debut project on social media on Saturday. The actor has also turned into a producer as well, who will be shuttling between being an actor, director and producer of her maiden project. Titled Saraswathi, the title has the letter ‘I’ highlighted in red, subtly hinting at the film’s intense and suspenseful narrative.

The upcoming project Saraswathi is touted to be a high-concept thriller, with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing the leading character. It will be interesting to see what the actor, who is known for her fierce onscreen personality, will be coming up with Sarasathi. The ensemble star cast also includes actors Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Naveen Chandra among others in pivotal roles, promising a unique storyline which will be women centric.
