Saravanan Arul's maiden film, The Legend, gets U/A certificate

Businessman Saravanan Arul is all set to make his debut in films with The Legend, which is all set to hit screens on July 28. The film, directed by JD and Jerry also marks the debut of Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela in Tamil. The film is expected to be screened in more than 2,500 theatres around the world. In the meantime, the film has been certified U/A by the Censor Board of Certification. The runtime spans 2 hours and 41 minutes. 

The film's lead actor had made his social media debut ahead of the release. Sharing a glimpse from the film, the actor had captioned his first post, "Delighted to enter the world of social media & meet you all! Equally thrilled to present #Saravedi the trailer of my film #TheLegend Dir by @DirJdjerry @Jharrisjayaraj musical!!#TheLegend will release in a whopping 2500+ theatres worldwide on July 28! #TheLegend #DrSTheLegend (sic)."

The supporting cast includes Vijaykumar, Suman, Thambi Ramaiah, Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Mayilsamy, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Mansoor Ali Khan, Harish Peradi, Munishkanth, Rahul Dev, Singampuli, and Manohar among other. The Legend marks Vivekh's last film. Music for the film is by Harris Jayaraj. The album also has singer KK's last song in Tamil, which is titled Konji Konji. The melody is a duet by KK and Shreya Ghoshal. The composer has recently revealed that he was about to complete the background score of the film. The film marks Harris Jayaraj's comeback after three years.

Saravanan is said to be playing a scientist in the film, who returns from abroad to serve people in his village. On his return, he sets out to make revolutionary changes in the society. A bunch of craft influential people ensure that the scientist's plan are not executed as planned. Now, the onus of protecting the people falls on Saravanan's character. Urvashi plays a microbiologist in the film.
