We had earlier reported that the sequel to the 2022 Tamil spy action thriller Sardar, starring actor Karthi, is in the making. The team released the first look poster of the film on social media on Monday, for the occasion of Eid. It is written and directed by PS Mithran who helmed the first part as well.
Sardar 2: First look out; Sam CS replaces Yuvan Shankar Raja as composer
The first look poster of the upcoming Tamil sequel Sardar 2, has been released by the makers on social media. The film stars Karthi in the lead role, who played dual characters in the first part. PS Mithran will be resuming his directorial duties for Sardar 2 as well.
The first look poster shows Karthi in a heavily bearded look, clad in suit as he stares right into you with a sword on his hand as he strikes a pose. With the shooting in progress, the poster confirms that Yuvan Shankar Raja who was previously announced as music director, has been replaced by Sam CS, who will be reuniting with Karthi after Kaithi.
Sardar 2 will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada. A release date is yet to be announced. Apart from Karthi, the sequel also stars SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan and Rajisha Vijayan. The sequel is currently under production with a release date yet to be announced. Sardar 2 is produced by Prince Pictures production banner.
