Sarkaru Vaari Paata box office collection Day 4: Mahesh Babu’s dream run continues in US, performs well in most markets on Sunday

Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh’s mass entertainer, is continuing to prove many trade pundits wrong with a terrific performance at the box office in the first weekend. It is among the rarest of films where mixed reception hasn’t done much to deter the motivation of crowds to watch it at the theatres. Though the main issue with the collections is the escalated ticket pricing across Telugu states, the actioner is continuing to rake in the moolah.

Expectedly, the US market is continuing to be a goldmine for the distributors and Mahesh Babu’s enviable track record in the region has proved to be a great bonus. Now, the film has grossed over $ 2 million in the US, reports confirm. In addition, most overseas markets have performed well over the initial weekend, including the UK where the film has garnered £1,78,000 approximately.

The absence of major competition is another advantage that is helping Sarkaru Vaari Paata’s cause in the Telugu states. In the ceded regions, Sarkaru Vaari Paata’s share has gone up to Rs 8.3 crore and it will need Rs 14 crore to ensure a breakeven for the distributors, which is highly likely. In the Uttarandhra region, the Mahesh Babu starrer managed to create a new record, grossing Rs 9.4 crore in four days.

While it made over Rs 6.51 crore in the East Godavari region in the first weekend, the film’s collections in the Krishna district have come upto Rs 5.4 crore. The share for the Nellore region stands at Rs 2.4 crore. Meanwhile, the film has collected Rs 5.3 crore share in Karnataka alone. On the whole, Sarkaru Vaari Paata should have reached a figure of Rs 140 crore across the globe after four days, going by estimates. The day 5 advances in Hyderabad have touched Rs 1 crore; however, this is considered to be an under-performance owing to the high-ticket rates.
