Sarkaru Vaari Paata: Kalaavathi, the first single from the Mahesh Babu, Keerthy Suresh starrer garners 150 million views on Youtube

There's immense anticipation around Sarkaru Vaari Paata, written and directed by Parasuram Petla, that releases on May 12. The primary reason behind the hype is that, a Mahesh Babu film would be hitting theatres after nearly two and a half years. The music of the action entertainer is also a big hit with audiences, with the three singles Kalaavathi, Penny and the title song garnering impressive numbers on music streaming platforms. S Thaman has scored the music for the film while Anantha Sriram is the lyricist.

As part of an impressive promotional strategy by the makers, the songs of the film began releasing as early as in February, which has given good time for them to grow on audiences. The biggest success among the three songs released to date, is Kalaavathi, without any element of suspicion. Sung by Sid Sriram, the melody that released during the Valentines Day weekend has been on a record-breaking spree since its launch. 

While it was the fastest-ever first single to reach 100 million views on Youtube initially, now it has garnered over 150 million views and earned nearly 2 million likes. Kalaavathi has topped the music charts in mulitple platforms and has sustained its popularity on YouTube for a long time now. There's another mass number that the makers plan to launch in the days to come. Sarkaru Vaari Paata's shoot has been wrapped already.

Keerthy Suresh is cast as the female lead in the action entertainer that also features Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju in key roles. Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta have jointly produced the film under Mythri Movie Makers, GMB Entertainment and 14 Reels Plus. R Madhie is the cinematographer of the film with Marthand K Venkatesh handling the edits. AS Prakash is the art director.
