Sarkaru Vaari Paata's worldwide gross stands at Rs 200 crore, film collects Rs 100 crore share in the Telugu states alone

Sarkaru Vaari Paata was the last among the series of biggies to have released in Telugu cinema in the first half of 2022. Mahesh Babu was in the form of his life, thanks to the energetic, spirited characterisation that helped him perform without inhibitions. Parasuram Petla being the star's fan himself knew what a spectator would expect from his film. While there's no denying the film was an out and out Mahesh show, it was found wanting across a lot of departments - the absence of a strong antagonist, poor story and the female lead's character.

The film's momentum has drastically slowed down in the second week, but if there's a reason it may end up with a decent total, it's only because of Mahesh's ability to draw crowds. Now, the action entertainer has collected a worldwide gross of Rs 200 crore and it took nearly two weeks (12 days) for the film to reach this milestone. Nearly Rs 157 crore of this sum has come from the Telugu states, while the gross collections in other regions of India and overseas areas stand at Rs 15.3 crore and Rs 27.8 crore respectively.

After RRR, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is also the best-performing Telugu film this year, despite the mixed reception. While discussing the share, the film has garnered Rs 122 crore on the whole across the globe, earning bulk of it from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (Rs 100). Although the momentum for its theatrical run is non-existent in the last few days, the producers claim that the film has turned out to be a profitable venture buyers of all regions.

Cinematographed by R Madhie and edited by Marthand K Venkatesh, Sarkaru Vaari Paata also starred Keerthy Suresh, Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, Nadhiya, Samuthirakani and Tanikella Bharani. S Thaman had scored the music and AS Prakash was the art director. The film is expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video in the second or third week of June. It's not known if the streaming platform will follow the pay-per-view model for the OTT premiere of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, alike KGF Chapter 2.
