The trailer of Kajol-Prithviraj Sukumaran-Ibrahim Ali Khan's Sarzameen is out now, and Kajol is receiving most love. Although Ibrahim Ali Khan left everyone surprised with his looks in the teaser, he is again being trolled as the trailer is out. Further, Sarzameen trailer itself has been giving netizens the vibe of Mission Kashmir 2.0. Here's everything the netizens feel since Sarzameen trailer released...
Ibrahim Ali Khan has often been trolled for his dialogue delivery. This started with his debut film Nadaaniyan and continues even with the release of Sarzameen trailer. A user commented that the makers kept Ibrahim muted even in the trailer for the same reason.
Kajol, on the other hand, has received love for her glimpse in Sarzameen trailer. Her fans have showered her with praises for what appears to be a powerful performance in the upcoming movie. The actress is paired opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran, while Ibrahim will be seen in the role of lead antagonist in the movie.
While Sarzameen promises to be a new story, netizens cannot help but spot similarities with Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta's Mission Kashmir. The movie, helmed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, also starred Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff in lead roles.
Mission Kashmir is the story of Altaaf Khan (Hrithik) whose parents were murdered. The cop responsible for the killings (Sanjay Dutt) adopts him. Years later, as Altaaf learns the truth about his parents, he decides to take revenge.
Sarzameen, backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, marks the directorial debut of Student of the Year actor Kayoze Irani (Boman Irani’s son). The film is scheduled for direct-to-OTT release on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium on July 25, 2025.
