Satish Kaushik, a veteran director and actor in Bollywood, passed away. He was 66. Anupam Kher wrote in a heartfelt post on social media beside a photo of the two actors as he informed about Kaushik's demise. As he was on his way to the hospital in New Delhi, Kaushik had a heart attack. On Tuesday, he even went to the Holi party hosted by seasoned lyricist Javed Akhtar, and he posted a number of pictures with Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, and other celebrities on his official Twitter account.

One of Bollywood's best performers, Satish Kaushik played iconic roles such as Manu Manek Mundra and Advocate Sadhuram. He was an actor, director, producer, comedian, and screenwriter. He was born on April 13, 1956. He graduated from both the National School of Theatre and the Indian Cinema and Television Institute. Shashi Kaushik and the actor were wed in 1985.

Taking to his social media account, Ajay Devgn wrote, "Woke up to the sad news of Satishji’s (Kaushik) demise. I've shared laughs with him on & off screen. His presence filled a frame. In life too, whenever we met, he brought a smile to my face. Condolences to his family. RIP Satish Ji."

Sonu Sood, highlighted the goodness of Satish Kaushik, and wrote: "When I came to Mumbai, Satish ji was the first director I met. He was so warm and humble. Gave a few lessons of life that will always stay with me. RIP SIR. Will miss u always."

Kangana Ranaut too took to her Twitter handle and wrote, "Woke up to this horrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti."

Manoj Bajpayee tweeted, "Completely shocked to read this ! What a great loss for all of us and his family! Condolences to his family & friends!May you rest in peace Satish Bhai !"

Actor Riteish Deshmukh in his condolence message wrote, "Your hearty laugh still rings in my ears. Thank you for being a kind and generous co-actor, thank you for being a silent teacher. You will be missed, your legacy will live on in our hearts. #SatishKaushik ji #RestInPeace" 

Subhash Ghai took to his Instagram to post a picture featuring Satish Kaushik. In his caption, he wrote, "It’s just heart-shattering news for me that we lost our one best friend #DEAR SATISH - a man who always laughed even in worst crisis and stood by anyone in his crisis “A great artiste. Greater human being greatest friend I know. He left us so sudden so soon. I m sad. All at @whistling_woods @muktaartsltd @muktaa2cinemas Om shanti."

"Today, we've lost one of the finest of the film industry. His memory will be a blessing to all those who knew and loved him. Heartfelt condolences to the family. #RestInPeace #SatishKaushik," wrote Suniel Shetty.
