The Bollywood industry is mourning the loss of director-actor Satish Kaushik, who has left a deep void in the hearts of many.
Among them is actor Vaarun Bhagat, who expresses his devastation by the news. "I was shocked when I woke up to this news. Satish sir's contribution to Indian cinema has been unparalleled," he says.
Vaarun praises Kaushik's versatility as an actor, recalling his memorable performances in movies like Mr. India and Scam 1992. He also highlights Kaushik's talent as a director, having helmed films like Tere Naam.
"He was a great actor, and played many diverse characters, most of which are flawless. I will always remember and cherish his outstanding performances in David Dhawan's movies like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Deewana Mastana, with Naseeruddin Shah in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, and as Calendar in Mr. India," Vaarun added.
The actor reflects on the impact of Kaushik's passing on the industry, saying, "Bollywood will always miss his smiling face, and I just hope God gives the family the strength and blessings to deal with this loss."
Vaarun concluded by expressing his sorrow that Kaushik's iconic dialogue from Mr. India, "Calendar khaana do," will never be the same again, and that he will be greatly missed.
