The last film of late actor Satish Kaushik, titled Mirg, is all set to release as the post-production work of the project is complete. This was revealed by the director of the film, Tarun Sharma, who said that he is heartbroken as he can't show his debut film to the late veteran actor.

Mirg is a mountain leopard found in the lower regions of Himachal Pradesh. There are numerous myths surrounding this elusive creature. The myths and stories about mirgs are larger than life, yet strangely believable.

Speaking about the film, Tarun said, "My main aim while approaching Mirg was to give the audience an engaging film. Every aspect of filmmaking should come together to create something engaging, transporting people into an alternate reality. According to me, that is the magic of cinema."

"Having stalwarts like Raj Babbar, Satish Kaushik and Anup Soni in my debut film was a blessing. Satish Kaushik was the first actor on board, and to my surprise, he agreed to do the film within two hours of me sending the script. To this day I can’t believe that he is no more. His childlike passion for cinema is something I will never forget. I really wanted him to see the final product, but that is one wish that will regretfully remain unfulfilled," Tarun added.

Speaking about Mirg, Raj Babbar said, "I thoroughly enjoyed shooting for this film; we had a blast. Tarun is a brilliant director, who gives his actors a free hand to grasp the characters in their own way. Every actor in this film has delivered nuanced performances".

Anup Soni added, "Mirg is many films within one film. The story is unpredictable and the treatment is fresh. It was a dream come true for me to be in a film with brilliant actors like Satish Kaushik sir and Raj Babbar ji."

Mirg has been shot in several districts of Himachal Pradesh, like Una, Hamirpur, Govind Sagar Lake, apart from the jungles of the state.
