Kajal Aggarwal, who made a timely comeback with a meaty role in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari, is currently working on two biggies. While her vigilante thriller, Shankar-directed Indian 2, alongside Kamal Haasan is expected to release in the second half of 2024, she is simultaneously working on Satyabhama, a crime thriller where she dons the khaki. Suman Chikkala directs the latter.
The teaser of Satyabhama was launched today. In the glimpse, she is introduced as a cop who’s consumed by guilt and is adamant about solving a case, even if it means burning bridges with her superiors. She is committed to her profession, sweats it out at work, flexes her muscles, enjoys her dose of action and gets the job done. The officer needs to take on a murder that has a connection with a local politician.
The actress looks fit and apt for the part and truly enjoys playing a mean police officer. The action sequences and the slick cinematography are major assets to the film. Composer Sri Charan Pakala’s experience with thrillers reflects in the teaser. The introduction of the story through a burra katha is innovative and the film is being shot on a lavish scale.
The makers are aiming for a summer 2024 release. Major, Goodachari filmmaker Sashi Kiran Tikka has written the screenplay for Satyabhama. Naveen Chandra, Prakash Raj, Nagineedu, Harshavardhan, Ravi Varma, Ankith Koyya play crucial roles in the film. The supporting cast also comprises Sampada N, Prajwal Yadma, Neha Pathan, Anirudh Pavithran, Satya Pradeepti, Rohit Satyan, Kodati Pavan Kalyan.
Srinivas Rao Takkalapelly and Bobby Tikka are jointly producing the film under Aurum Arts. Ramesh Yadma, Prashanth Reddy Motadoo have written the story while Vishnu Besi is the cinematographer. AV Muralidhar, Balaji Veernala are the co-producers. Kodati Pavan Kalyan is the editor and Rohan Singh is the production designer respectively.
