Satyaprem Ki Katha: Kartik Aryan to have four weddings in the musical romance with Kiara Advani? Here's what we know

There were reportedly four songs scheduled to be shot for Satyaprem Ki Katha in April, with the final one being Kartik Aaryan's introduction song. Last week, Sameer Vidwans' film came to an end with a spectacular dance sequence starring the actor. In a dreamlike sequence, people will witness Christian, Muslim, Gujarati, and South Indian nuptials set to music.

The song was Kartik's idea because he thought a grand opening number would boost interest in the romance drama, which also stars Kiara Advani. A source told Mid Day that Sameer and producer Sajid Nadiadwala were in two minds about it as it's a pricey affair, costing around Rs 7 crore. Kartik insisted that they do it, so they did. Satyaprem, the protagonist, has been daydreaming about his wedding for quite some time.

The director, along with production designer Rajat Poddarr and cameraman Manu Anand, constructed four sets to represent the many weddings. The grounds at Vrundavan Studio in Malad were used to construct the backdrops for the Muslim and Gujarati weddings, while two sets were constructed on Madh Island.

The atmosphere of Santorini, Greece, was incorporated into the Christian ceremony's decor. A mohalla was constructed for the Gujarati shaadi, while for the South Indian wedding, massive copies of well-known temples were made. The reception hall is the setting for the Muslim wedding ceremony.

Bosco Martis was the choreographer for the dance piece, and it was shot in under four days. According to the source, Kartik was involved in the song from the very beginning. He's done some serious dancing in it.

Satyaprem Ki Katha marks the reunion of Kartik and Kiara after their 2022 blockbuster outing, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The out-and-out romantic film is set to be a musical and will hit the big screens a month later, on June 29, 2023.
