Sauraseni Maitra clears the air about her Euro trip with Nikhil Jain

It has been rumoured that actress Sauraseni Maitra has been dating businessman and Nusrat Jahan’s former husband Nikhil Jain for a long time. They are frequently seen at many Tollywood parties. Sauraseni is the face of Nikhil’s brand. However, Sauraseni never admitted the fact and always avoided it by saying that Nikhil was just her friend. 

Sauraseni, who started her career with modeling, is now busy with films and the web. Recently, her photos from vacation in Europe flooded her timeline. Was she there with Nikhil? Speculations are rife that the two took a trip together. 

In an interview with Anandabazar, Sauraseni said, “Nikhil and I are just friends. I went to Europe and then went to London to attend a relative’s wedding. Nikhil was in London at that time due to his work. We met there.” 

She further added, “I became bored with the same news every day involving the two of us.” She also said that they were seen together at the parties since she is the face of Nikhil’s brand. 

Nikhil and Nusrat Jahan’s wedding and the annulment of it grabbed the headlines for weeks. They had a gala wedding in 2019 in Turkey. But Nusrat left Nikhil’s place in 2020 and started living at her Palm Avenue residence. Then her pregnancy news broke in 2021 and Nikhil, in a statement, said that he was not the father. Nusrat then claimed in a press release that she was not officially married to Nikhil. Since it was a marriage between two faiths, it needed to be recognized by the special marriage act, which was not done, and hence the marriage was meaningless. Nikhil also went to court seeking legal separation.
