Netflix in the past years has become a major hub for international shows of various genres. Right from Korean, Chinese and Japanese, it isn't shying away from adoring foreign movies for quite some time. And following the trend, it will now be releasing a blockbuster South African show called 'Savage Beauty'.

The makers recently dropped the trailer of the show. 'Savage beauty' is a promising fast paced anxiety-inducing drama and the trailer looks interesting. The series shows the influential Bhengus family ruling the fashion industry who can become ruthless to unmask their enemy.

The series stars Rosemary Zimu as Zinhle, who plays a mysterious young woman with a tragic past. One of the only two survivors of the toxic products tested on street children by Don and Grace Bhengu, she single-mindedly gets on a quest to pursue revenge for the brutal crime.

"Zinhle becomes the invisible force that exposes family secrets, leading the Bhengus down a path of destruction. But innocent people get hurt along the way, while Zinhle's own darkness threatens to consume her. Zinhle has to decide whether she wants justice or pure, cold revenge," reads a part of the official synopsis of the show.

Directed by Rea Rangaka, Denny Miller and Thati Peele, the series has an exclusive line-up of some of the best South African talent. Its list includes accomplished actors like Rosemary Zimu and Nthati Moshesh, and celebrates cameo appearances by Terry Pheto, Sarah Langa, Trevor Stuurman, Loyiso Gola, Thando Hopa, Kefilwe Mabote and Lasizwe among others.

The show is executive produced by Harriet Gavshon, Lebogang Mogashoa and Nimrod Geva and will undoubtedly be a treat to watch for the viewers. The show will be releasing on 12 May, 2022 on Netflix.
