Conspiracies and deceit reverberate off the halls of this boarding school. School of Lies, a new mystery drama from Disney+ Hotstar, has a new trailer out now. The disappearance of a kid is at the heart of this grim thriller, which features the talents of Nimrat Kaur, Aamir Bashir, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Sonali Kulkarni, and Jitendra Joshi. On June 2, 2023, Disney+ Hotstar will debut School of Lies, a BBC Studios production with writing by Ishani Banerjee and Avinash Arun Dhaware and directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware.

When 12-year-old Shakti goes missing from Rise Boarding School, chaos ensues, and the school's dark past comes out of hiding. Will they figure out what's going on? When they look for Shakti, will they succeed? Key parts are also played by Hemant Kher, Parthiv Shetty, Adrija Sinha, Aalekh Kapoor, and Varin Roopani in School of Lies. Disney+ Hotstar is the place to go for details.

School of Lies is an exciting mystery based on real events, according to BBC Studios India's General Manager of Production, Sameer Gogate. The show takes place in a boarding school where a young boy has gone missing, exposing systemic failings and the struggle to uncover the truth while portraying the range of feelings and situations youngsters experience daily as they prepare for life. It sheds light on the complex dynamics of adolescent development, family life, and the boarding school environment. They are thrilled to be working with Avinash and Nimrat, as well as the rest of the show's stellar cast and crew, on their ongoing partnership with Disney+ Hotstar.

Nimrat Kaur, who plays Nandita Mehra, the school counsellor, in School of Lies, has remarked that with the shoot of School of Lies, she learned about the layered complexities of children and how they can reveal a new side to them at every step. In this one-of-a-kind series, based on actual experiences, anything can happen behind the locked doors of a fictitious boarding school. Taking on the challenging task of a guidance counsellor in this organisation, where she often found herself torn between doing what was right and what was practical in the face of dramatic life changes, was an unforgettable and enriching experience.

School of Lies is the story of a child's isolation, disconnection, and repression, said creator and director Avinash Arun Bhaware. The tale of a little boy's adventures in magic and freedom—these are normal developmental stages that all children, whether they are in boarding school or not, will go through. Children in today's society are especially vulnerable and open. Attempting to look sympathetically at all the forces within us that may liberate or destroy them, School of Lies is a story of the current period.

In the drama-thriller School of Lies, a 12-year-old kid disappears from the private boarding school Rise in the fictional town of Dalton Town, surrounded by hills, and his disappearance sets off a chain reaction that proves the truth is just as complex as it is simple. As the mystery unfolds, the narrative delves into the emotions of several characters, including preteen boys, an elderly instructor harbouring a dark secret, a morally conflicted counsellor, and a distraught mother who refuses to accept the truth. The tale of two young adventurers as they learn about the wonders of life and magic is also told in School of Lies. Everything comes together in the final episode to reveal a shocking revelation.

Join the hunt for Shakti and brace yourself for the secrets of Rise in the next Disney+ Hotstar original series, School of Lies, available beginning June 2, 2023.
