Scoop, currently streaming on Netflix, has caught the attention of many, and deservedly so. Hansal Mehta and Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul's series is based on Jigna Vora's book Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison. First, fans spotted a blink-and-miss appearance of Pratik Gandhi in the series, and now you must have discovered that Scoop also features a real-life couple. Yes, Rasika Agashe and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub are both part of the series, and Karishma Tanna plays the lead role.

A few days ago, Rasika took to her Instagram page and shared a photo of her posing with Zeeshan from the premiere of Scoop. The actor wrote, "Scoop... a very special show for us... Actually, this is the first time me and Zeeshan are part of the same project! Yes! I have also played a role in this. Thanks a lot, @hansalmehta, for this wonderful opportunity! Thanks, @mukeshchhabracc! And thanks to @netflix_in, @saritagpatil, and @mrunmayeelagoo for creating such a strong piece of work. Streaming tomorrow on Netflix #scoop #netflix. (sic)"

For the uninitiated, Zeeshan plays the role of Imran Siddiqui, Bureau Chief of Eastern Page, as Jagruti's (Karishma's) boss, loosely based on Hussain Zaidi. Rasika is seen as Meena Rane, the jail matron, who makes Jagruti's life hell once she is imprisoned.

In Scoop, prominent crime reporter Jagruti Pathak is the prime suspect in the heinous murder of her colleague Jaideb Sen (Prosenjit Chatterjee), who was the Head of Investigations at News Day, based on Jyotirmoy Dey. She finds herself the centre of attention as rumours spread that she killed her rival using her criminal connections.

Scoop also features Harman Baweja, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Ira Dubey, and Deven Bhojani, among others, in pivotal roles.

The series premiered on Netflix on June 2, 2023, and is receiving rave reviews.
