Sebastian Stan will be playing the role of a young Donald Trump in director Ali Abbasi's new film The Student. The movie will focus on the infamous friendship between DonalTrump and attorney Roy Cohn.

In a never-before plot twist, MCU actor Sebastian Stan will be portraying one of the latest Presidents of America, aka Donald Trump. He will be playing the latter’s young age in Ali Abbasi’s next film The Student. The news was released exclusively today by Deadline, along with the casting of Stan’s wife’s role, which went to Fairyland actress Maria Balakova.
The film will explore a corrupted and deceitful world that thrives on power and selfishness, including Trump’s ascension while developing his real estate business in New York in the ‘70s and ‘80s. It will also examine the infamous friendship between Donald Trump and controversial attorney Roy Cohn.
The film’s logline read, “The Student is an exploration of power and ambition set in a world of corruption and deceit. It’s a mentor-protégé story that charts the origins of an American dynasty. Filled with larger-than-life characters, it reveals the moral and human cost of a culture defined by winners and losers.”
While the project moves ahead, the business tycoon protagonist suffers from multiple indictments in many cases yet eyes the Office once again for the 2024 Presidential candidature. As of now, the film is promised Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump, Jeremy Strong will be turning up as Roy Cohn, while Maria Balakova will play Ivana Trump.
The project is being helmed by the iconic Ali Abbasi, who won praise for his murderous Cannes submission in 2022, in the form of Holy Spider. The writer of the film’s screenplay is Gabriel Sherman, while the producers are Daniel Beckerman of Scythia Films, Jacob Jerek of Profile Pictures, and Ruth Treacy of Taylored Films.
