Second single Vaanam Yaavum from Nayanthara's O2 is a lilting melody

The second single from Nayanthara's upcoming thriller O2 was released this evening by the makers. The single, Vaanam Yaavum is a lilting melody sung by Pradeep Kumar and composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar. The song has lyrics by Dharan KR. O2 will mark the directorial debut of GK Viknesh, who was a former associate of ace director Venkat Prabhu. The film has child artiste Rithvik in a crucial role and Nayanthara playing his fierce mother, who would go any length to protect her son. The film is said to be a survival thriller, where a bus meets travelling between Coimbatore and Cochin, meets with an accident and falls somewhere deep inside underground. And Nayanthara and her son, who is battling a breathing problem (and needs oxygen cylinder to survive), is stuck in the bus that has many more passengers travelling in it. What ensues is a battle for survival even as those outside leave no stone unturned to trace the missing bus that has vanished into thin air. In the trailer and teaser, we see face-offs between the passengers leading to arguments and escalating into physical fights. 

While the film's editing is being handled by Sarpatta Parambarai fame Selva RK, Thamizh A Azhagan had handled the cinematography. Sudesh Kumar and N Satheesh Kumar are handling the action choreography and art direction respectively. The rest of the star cast includes late actor RNR Manohar, Malayalam actor Leena Maria Paul, Aadukalam Murugadoss and Jaffer Idukki. This film will have its worldwide premiere on June 17 on Disney+Hotstar. Dream Warrior Pictures have bankrolled the film.
