Secret Invasion trailer: Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury gets into a war against shape-shifting Skrulls

Who can you rely on? The espionage thriller Secret Invasion's trailer dropped during ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball, providing a glimpse at the new danger Nick Fury will have to face.

In the modern MCU show Secret Invasion, Fury finds out that a group of Skrulls who can change their appearance are sneaking onto Earth. Fury joins his pals who have established homes on Earth, such as Everett Ross, Maria Hill, and the Skrull Talos. They fight against the clock to stop an impending Skrull invasion and rescue mankind.

Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle are among the actors who appear in Secret Invasion.

Together with Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Samuel L. Jackson, Ali Selim, Kyle Bradstreet, and Brian Tucker, Ali Selim serves as the show's director and executive producer. Kyle Bradstreet is the head writer and co-executive producer of the show, along with Jennifer L. Booth, Allana Williams, and Brant Englestein.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Jackson talked about the next series and explained why Nick Fury didn't have his eyepatch. He said that it was a sign of how powerful Fury was.

He said that it's a part of his weakness today. One can understand from it that he is not an absolutely impervious being. That person doesn't feel like him.

Fury will be required to provide an explanation for his departure from Earth, at least in part, as shown in a previous series teaser that was shown in September. He hasn't visited Earth in a while. Cobie would also allege that despite her efforts to get in touch with him, he has been ignoring her messages.

Smulders, who plays the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill, claimed that she believes Maria Hill has truly run out of patience. She and Nick Fury had always been quite close, but now that he's been gone for so long, she's been busy putting out fires all day.

On June 21, Secret Invasion will make its Disney+ Hotstar debut.
