The day and date of May 28 (today) this year is going to be extremely iconic and memorable for every citizen of India. The reason? Well… on this day and date (which is today), our Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the new Parliament building. The said new Parliament building can easily accommodate 888 members in the Lok Sabha chamber and 300 in Rajya Sabha. Needless to say that, a wave of extremely happiness is being spread actors the length and breadth of the nation as the whole. Since the last couple of days, the social media feed is full of congratulatory and best wishes messages to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the historic achievement.

Shah Rukh Khan took to social media and posted the video of the new Parliament Building. He captioned the post stating, “What a magnificent new home for the people who uphold our Constitution, represent every citizen of this great Nation and protect the diversity of her one People. @narendramodi ji. A new Parliament building for a New India but with the age-old dream of Glory for India. Jai Hind! #MyParliamentMyPride”.

The video post, which was shared by Shah Rukh Khan also has the actor's voice-over in it. And, upping the patriotic fervour and spirit is the theme music of his film 'Swades', which plays in the background.

This was followed by Akshay Kumar, who also posted the video of the new Parliament building and added a beautiful caption to it. Akshay Kumar captioned the video post stating, “Proud to see this glorious new building of the Parliament. May this forever be an iconic symbol of India’s growth story. #MyParliamentMyPride”.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi replied to Akshay Kumar on social media stating, “You have conveyed your thoughts very well. Our new Parliament is truly a beacon of our democracy. It reflects the nation's rich heritage and the vibrant aspirations for the future. #MyParliamentMyPride”. 

And for Shah Rukh Khan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi replied, “Beautifully expressed! The new Parliament building is a symbol of democratic strength and progress. It blends tradition with modernity. #MyParliamentMyPride”.

Also joining them was the veteran actor Anupam Kher, who took to social media and wrote a heartfelt post in Hindi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his part, expressed his gratitude and appreciated him about his post.

Sunny Deol too joined the list of celebrities to wish our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the historic achievement. After posting the video post of the to-be-inaugurated Parliament Building, he captioned the post stating, This parliament building stands as one of the best in the world. #MyParliamentMyPride”.

Meanwhile, Bollywood’s ‘eternal ‘Dreamgirl’ Hema Malini shared a selfie-video of herself, in which she speaks the inauguration of the new Parliament Building. She captioned the video message as, “Greetings to all fellow citizens on this proud occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament building @PMOIndia #MyParliamentMyPride”. Earlier, she had sent another tweet stating, “The new Parliament building is ready for inauguration! The Central Vista is a beautifully conceived and executed complex which will be modern yet traditional, in keeping with our culture and glory. It is something to be appreciated and celebrated by all Indians irrespective of party protocol. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! @narendramodi @BJP4India”.
