Seetimaar is all set to make a blazing entry to the big screen, with its makers confirming via Twitter that the film will be released in theatres in September. Starring Gopichand and Tamannaah in the lead, the film had earlier been scheduled for a release in April this year, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Twitter handle of Srinivasaa Silver Screen, which is producing the film, made the announcement at noon today, much to the delight of fans who were anxiously anticipating the news of the movie’s updated release date. Matching up to the fans’ energy and attempting to get them fired up, the caption leads with an exciting tag- ‘the game is ON’. After declaring that the film will hit theatres some time in September, the makers also leave viewers with the note that the exact release date will be announced on the page itself.

Seetimaarr revolves around the story of two kabaddi coaches, played by Gopichand and Tamannaah, each of whom act as mentors for the teams of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively, according to Gulte.com.

Meanwhile, Gopichand has started shooting for the upcoming Telugu film Pakka Commercial. Tamannaah has also been busy working on two upcoming movies F3 and the Telugu remake of Andhadhun. In addition to the two seasoned stars, Seetimaarr will also feature Digangana Suryavanshi, Bhumika Chawla, Rahman, Tarun Arora, Rao Ramesh and Posani Krishna Murali among others.

The film, whose music is helmed by Mani Sharma, has already released tracks such as Jwala Reddy and Pepsi Aunty which have been well received by fans.

The film features Sampath Nandi in the director’s chair. Nandi has also taken on the role of screenwriter for the project.
