Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi's first collaboration, a film titled Selfiee, has begun shooting in Bhopal. Backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, it is directed by Raj Mehta (Good Newwz, Jug Jugg Jeeyo).

To mark this, Hashmi took to social media and shared his selfie. Director Mehta shared pictures from a pooja held before the shoot and a heartfelt note.

After Good Newwz, this is the second film where Mehta and Kumar will work together. According to PTI, it is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam-language comedy Driving Licence, starring Prithviraj.

Here are the posts:

The original film directed by Lal Jr from a script by Sachy follows a superstar (Prithviraj) who is in urgent need of a driver's licence. For this, he reaches out to the motor inspector (Suraj Venjaramoodu), who also happens to be a fan.

Besides Dharma, Akshay Kumar's Cape of Good Films is also producing along with Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames.
