Selfiee: Mrunal Thakur had a blast shooting with Akshay Kumar for Kudiye Ni Teri Vibe

Actress Mrunal Thakur - who will be seen in a special track, titled Kudiyee Ni Teri Vibe, in the upcoming movie Selfiee - talks about her experience of working on the song, why she can’t wait to know the audience’s reaction.

Mrunal is sporting a grunge-glam look in the song, composed by Tanishk Bagchi and sung by The PropheC and Zahrah S Khan. Tanishk and The PropheC have also penned the lyrics of the song. 

Mrunal is playing a cameo role (that of an actress) in the film, who is paired with Akshay Kumar’s character (Superstar Vijay Kumar). In the visuals, Vijay, who plays an action hero, can be seen in a high-octane action sequence with Mrunal in a movie playing in cinema halls, being watched by Emraan Hashmi’s character (RTO Inspector Om Prakash Aggarwal).

Talking about the making of the song, Mrunal said, “I had a blast shooting for the song. Haven’t done something like this earlier, and the vibe on the set was super fun and peppy, much like the number itself.”

The Sita Ramam actress also mentioned that she had a shooting schedule of a few days, and it was a special memory for her. Mrunal has a busy year ahead, as she has multiple projects in the pipeline - including Pooja Meri Jaan, Pippa and the Telugu film Nani 30, among others.

Selfiee is an official remake of the Malayalam film Driving License, and it is directed by Raj Mehta. The film also features Diana Penty, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Mahesh Thakur, Meghna Malik and Tisca Chopra, among others.

The story of the film revolves around a superstar and an RTO Inspector, who was his fan, but eventually turned out to be the troublemaker in his life when he applied for a driving licence. Selfiee releases on February 24.
