After 13 long years, actor-director Selvaraghavan and composer-actor GV Prakash are all set to team up for the third time, after working on their cult classic films Aayirathil Oruvan and Mayakkam Enna. The announcement was made by the duo on social media on Thursday, December 12.

Director Selvaraghavan has been missing on action for a while now. Even though we saw him as an actor in films like Raayan and Sorgavaasal this year, the director's last film to release was in 2022, Naane Varuvean featuring Dhanush.
Now, as a pleasant surprise, the filmmaker dropped a new update about his next directorial film. Yes, you read it right. Selvaraghavan is all set to announce his next film. The cherry on the cake is that Selvaraghavan will be teaming up with composer GV Prakash Kumar after nearly 13 years. The duo worked in two films Aayiryathil Oruvan (2010) and Mayakkam Enna (2011). The upcoming film will mark their third outing.
The announcement about the new project will take place on Friday, at 6.30 pm. The project is bankrolled by Parallel Universe Pictures. A poster was released, which featured a spectacle glass placed over a multi-colored butterfly.

Both Mayakkam Enna and Aayirathil Oruvan are available for streaming on Aha Tamil, SunNXT, and OTTplay Premium apps.
Mayakkam Enna features Dhanush, Richa Gangopadhyay, and others. The psychological romance drama revolves around a wildlife photographer who faces a major setback, with his wife by his side. Meanwhile, Aayirathil Oruvan is an adventure-action drama featuring Karthi, Reema Sen, and Andrea Jeremiah. The film revolves around a group of archaeologists going in search of the lost Chola dynasty. Even as both films were not declared as box office successes, the albums were greatly appreciated.
