The director who ventured into acting is reportedly charging Rs 2 crore for the upcoming action-entertainer of Thalapathy

The fans’ anticipation is currently at its peak, since the announcement of their beloved Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Beast. They were unable to contain their excitement when the cast of the movie was finalised. The news about the cast has now become even more intriguing when director/actor Selvaraghavan was roped in to play the main antagonist of the movie. According to reports, the actor has received a remuneration of almost Rs 2 crore to play a never-before-seen avatar in the upcoming action-packed entertainer of Nelson Dilipkumar.
This will be Selvaraghavan’s second project as an actor after his debut in Saani Kaayidham, starring Keerthy Suresh, which is currently awaiting its release. It is going to be a period action drama set in the ’80s.
Fans of the ‘Master’ have been eagerly looking forward to updates on the upcoming film. The first schedule of the filming in several places like Russia and Georgia has been completed. The film is at the second schedule of its filming stage which is taking place in Chennai. It is expected to be completed soon.
Beast stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead, who is all set to romance Vijay for the first time on screen. The action-entertainer also features a unique cast featuring Yogi Babu, Aparna Das, Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh, Lilliput Faruqui and Ankur Ajit Vikal in pivotal roles.
The upcoming action-entertainer is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, with music by Anirudh Ravichandar. Anirudh has earlier worked on Vijay’s films like Master and Kaththi.
About the rest of the crew, it includes Manoj Paramahamsa as the cinematographer and R Nirmal as the editor.
