Selvaraghavan-Keerthy-starrer Saani Kaayidham is likely to stream on Amazon Prime

We had reported recently that leading digital streaming platforms SonyLIV and Netflix had bagged the rights of a few Tamils films. Now, we hear that Amazon Prime, which previously streamed Pa Ranjith's Arya-starrer Sarpatta Parambarai, has bagged another much-expected movie, Saani Kaayidham. The shooting of the film, a crime drama set in the 80s, based on a few real incidents, which has Arun Matheswaran at the helm, was wrapped up on Thursday at Rameswaram. The movie, which marks the acting debut of acclaimed filmmaker Selvaraghavan piqued the curiosity of movie buffs from the time the project was announced. A poster featuring Selva and Keerthy Suresh which was later released by the makers further escalated the expectations surrounding the movie.

According to sources, the makers are expected to make an official announcement regarding the project's OTT release soon. An elated Selva had expressed his happiness over the film's completion the other day through his Twitter account. Describing his association with the crew as 'fantastic journey', he said that he had learnt a lot and thanked the project's cast and crew in his tweet. He had also posted a picture of the crew post the schedule wrap, including him, Keerthy and Arun. Selva has also started dubbing for the film. The production house posted a picture of the director-turned-actor dubbing for the movie from the studio. 

Selva, who was in the news recently for his shocking revelation on Aayirathil Oruvan's exaggerated budget, has two much-expected directorial projects with Dhanush, with one of them being a sequel to it. The news of his inclusion in the cast of Nelson's Vijay-starrer Beast which was out a while ago was received with hype and hoopla. As per reports, he will be seen playing one of the antagonists in the action flick which is expected to hit screens in 2022.
