Two big titles from the south are gearing up for their respective OTT releases on the same day, April 24, Thursday. Those are Vikram’s Tamil film Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, and Malayalam star Mohanlal’s L2 Empuraan. Both the films, which debuted in theatres in March, is set to release on Prime Video and JioHotstar respectively. However, it looks like Vikram’s film will have an edge over Mohanlal starrer for a particular reason, for the OTT audience. Here’s why.

Why Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 has an edge over Mohanlal’s Empuraan on OTT?

Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran is set to release on Prime Video on April 24, meanwhile Mohanlal’s second instalment of Lucifer trilogy, Empuraan will premiere on JioHotstar on the same day.

Even as both the films will be streaming on known platforms, there is one big advantage for Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2. As per the posters put out by the respective streaming platforms about the OTT releases, one major difference can be seen. Along with south languages, Prime Video will also provide Hindi audio for the Vikram film, which Mohanlal’s Empuraan will be missing out. This means, the audience from north would not be able to watch the Malayalam film if they wish to watch it in Hindi, although English subtitles will be available.
