Sequel of Jugjugg Jeeyo on the cards? Karan Johar drops a major hint

Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Singh starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo was released last year today. As the family entertainer completes a year of its release, film producer Karan Johar reminisces about the magical time of making it as well as drops a major hint at its sequel in his latest social media post.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Jugjugg Jeeyo, the makers dropped a special reel on Instagram with a sentimental caption that reads, "To an entertainer that made you understand that families are beautifully imperfect, made you dance to the grooviest numbers & celebrated the power of love! #1YearOfJugJuggJeeyo #JugJuggJeeyo (Sic)."

On the other hand, Karan shared the Instagram reel video by his production house page to his official Insta handle and teased the cinephiles with a major hint of the Jugjugg Jeeyo sequel. 

The famous moviemaker is currently busy with the promotion and post-production of his much-awaited directorial comeback Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The romantic drama movie is set to be out in theatres on July 28.

Meanwhile, it won't be a surprise, if Jugjugg Jeeyo 2 is in the works and is to be helmed by Karan Johar, as the filmmaker is finally back in the director's chair after five years.

Jugjugg Jeeyo, which saw a great theatrical run last year, is available to stream online on Amazon Prime Video.
