Actor Angad Bedi and Kirti Kulhari are coming together yet again, after seven years, for a new short film titled The List, directed by Gaurav Dave.
Both the actors worked together earlier in the much celebrated National award-winning film Pink, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. Kirti played the character of Falak Ali in the film and also bagged a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Filmfare Awards.
The trailer of the new short film is released and it comes across as an intriguing story.
The story of The List revolves around a couple who are in their late 30s, played by Kirti and Angad, who are quite bored with their mundane life. The couple find themselves missing out on the emotion and passion that they had not only for their lives but also the relationship between them. However, a few twists and turns bring out some of the dark emotions from their past that they buried long ago, setting the tone of the story.
Talking about the film, Angad said, "The realism of my character, the depth that is achieved in the story in such a short span, and the intricacies of daily life that have been portrayed are all elements that make this short film a masterpiece."
He also added, "The film is also a commentary on how robotic our human lives have become and Gaurav truly believed that Kirti and I would be able to manifest this on-screen, he has a very big hand in helping us achieve this."
Kirti who played the female protagonist in the short said, "Beware. Monotony and Mechanicality sound harmless concepts but are capable of killing us, slowly and steadily. We all have 'A List'. The List. Choose it with caution."
The film was shot in early 2022 and it is produced by Siddarth Roy Kapur under the banner Roy Kapur Films.
As the film is going to be released on Amazon miniTV as part of the Mini Movie Festival, Angad said, "Kudos to Gaurav (Director) and Roy Kapur Films for creating, presenting, and backing such an out-of-the-box, performance-driven concept. I've to say that when I got a call from Siddharth Roy Kapur asking me to be a part of this story that had its unique realism and gravity, I was thrilled!"
The actor also appreciates the Mini Movie Festival, which is bringing many high-concept short films under one roof and making it accessible to a large section of the audience.
The List will be released on Amazon miniTV on September 22.
