Shaakuntalam first look Twitter reactions: Fans hail Samantha’s ‘angelic’ look, praises her ‘versatility’

Although it has been only a few hours since Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s first look from her upcoming film Shaakuntalam has been unveiled, it has already sent fans into a tizzy. Touted as a mythological drama wherein the popular actress will essay a role unlike one she has never done before, it comes as no surprise that the first look of the star elicited numerous responses from fans, who took to Twitter to express their awe.

The responses seemed to be overwhelmingly positive, as appreciation poured in for the visually stunning poster, which saw Samantha decked in white and surrounded by all kinds of animals. Everyone agreed that the actress looked stunning in the poster.

Many users remarked that the actress looked positively ‘angelic’. While one user called her ‘breathtaking’, another went so far as to call the star ‘the definition of Beauty’.

While some called Samantha an angel, others stated that she looked like an absolute Goddess.

Pointing to how regal she looked, many even referred to her as a queen, with one user even taking the time to make a meme about how we should all ‘bow’ to her.

Fans also commended the actress for taking up different and challenging roles, hailing her for her transformative looks. Users pointed to the actor’s ‘versatility’, with one including a photograph of Samantha’s character from the second season of Manoj Bajpayee series The Family Man, showcasing the vast differences between that character and the actress’ character in Shaakuntalam.

The upcoming film is directed by Gunasekhar and produced by Neelima Guna. In addition to Samantha, the film also features Dev Mohan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Mohan Babu and Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha. The latter will be making her acting debut with the project.
