Shaakutalam: Samantha starts promotions in a religious manner, deets inside

Samantha is back in the game and has started shooting for her film Khushi alongside Vijay Devarakonda. Meanwhile today, she has taken a small break from the shoot of Khushi and has started the promotions of her latest film Shaakuntalam which will be released on the 14th of April in a grand manner.

Samantha along with her co-star Dev Mohan, director Gunasekhar, producers Neelima Guna and Ashrita Reddy visited the famous Peddamma Temple in Hyderabad today and took the blessings of the almighty. Samantha has become quite religious these days and has been visiting many temples all over the country.

Shaakuntalam is one of the biggest films in Sam's career as she is playing the main lead and the entire film is based on her role. She has even dubbed in her own voice for this film which is a period drama. The trailer was released a few weeks back and won decent appreciation from the public. Dev Mohan is playing the male lead in this film and this is also a big project for him.

Dil Raju and Guna Team Works have jointly produced this film which has been made on a huge budget. The film needs to click at any cost as the film has been in the making for a long time. Gunasekhar is known to make historical dramas in the past but times have changed now and we need to see how the audience will welcome such a film in today's time.
