Taapsee Pannu is set to star in Srijit Mukherji's Shabaash Mithu, which is based on the life of Indian cricketer Mithali Raj. On June 8, Mithali declared her retirement from international cricket. The cricketer informed her followers on social media with a heartfelt letter.
Taapsee came to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute for the batsman. The actress highlighted the cricketer's accomplishments over her long and successful career. While sharing a black and white photograph of them together.

Shabaash Mithu will depict Mithali's remarkable and one-of-a-kind story, as portrayed by Taapsee. The film will be released in theatres on July 15, 2022. Viacom 18 studios produced the movie.
Taapsee will also be featured in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan. The actress will also appear in Blurr and Tadka. She is also set to serve as a co-producer on the forthcoming film Dhak Dhak.
