Shabaash Mithu song Hindustan Meri Jaan chronicles a cricketer's love for the sport and the country

Taapsee Pannu starrer Shabaash Mithu is one of the highly anticipated biographical sports dramas of the year. Ahead of the film's release, makers have unveiled a heartfelt track titled Hindustan Meri Jaan. The song is crooned by Amit Trivedi and Kailash Kher, while it has been penned and composed by Swanand Kirkire and Amit Trivedi respectively.

The latest song chronicles Mithali Raj's (played by Taapsee) journey as a cricketer from childhood to becoming the captain of the Indian cricket team. The song begins by showcasing the childhood of the cricketer and how she used to pay respect to the ground. Inayat Verma as young Mithali can be seen practising for hours on the ground, while Vijay Raaz can be seen as her coach. Throughout the song, Taapsee can be seen quite emotional with all the records she has been breaking and the way she has been playing for the country as Mithali.

Meanwhile, Taapsee has shared a BTS video that showcases how she trained and prepped to play and look like Mithali in the movie. The Bollywood diva can be seen practising Mithali's batting form for hours on the net and also doing several kinds of exercises and workouts on the field itself. Not only the batting technique, but the actress also learnt everything related to being on the field including fielding as well.

Taapsee took her video to her official Instagram handle and shared it with a special caption that reads, "Determination, Discipline, and Drive is what makes the impossible possible! Watch Taapsee Pannu train to portray the role of Mithali Raj in Shaabaash Mithu. Link in bio! #ShabaashMithu In cinemas July 15. (sic)."
