Taapsee Pannu is currently promoting her forthcoming film Shabaash Mithu. The film, which is a biopic on Mithali Raj, the former captain of the Indian women's cricket team, is all set to hit screens on July 15. The film is directed by Srijit Mukherji and chronicles the cricketing journey of one the most successful captains of India, her struggles and achievements.

The drama is bankrolled by Viacom18 Studios. With the film approaching release, the promotions for the biographical sports drama are in full swing. The team was recently at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kolkata for the promotions. Taapse has written on her social media handle, "Eden Gardens! Getting the real and the real world together.Kolkata your enthusiasm was infectious !Until next time….. #ShabaashMithu 5 days to go ! (sic)."

In one such interview, when Taapsee and Mithali were questioned about whether either of them had ever been hit on by a co-worker or anybody of the same gender, both simultaneously admitted that they had, although they remained unaware of the same when the incident happened.

While speaking to Curly Tales, Taapsee revealed that it was not a colleague or co-actor of the same gender, but that the incident happened when she was in Goa  with my friends. Though she didn't realise it at first, when her friends told her that the woman was hitting on her, she felt nice. "I think it felt nice because you always think a girl usually finds only faults in other girls," she stated in the interview.

Mithali, too, went on to tell a similar story in which she was hit on by a woman although she did not even realise it at the moment. Mithali added that she too didn't understand that she was being hit on.

In the interview, Taapsee was questioned if she ever felt jealous of other performers who were faring better than her. To which the Pink actress replied, “Jealous is maybe the wrong word. Maybe I am envious of the opportunities that they got and I didn’t.”

The star cast for Shabaash Mithu includes Vijay Raaz, Brijendra Kala, Mumtaz Sircar, and Devadarshini. The film was earlier supposed to be directed by Rahul Dholakia. Portions were also shot in Lord's cricket stadium in London and across India and the world that shaped Mithali's journey. Music for the film is composed by Amit Trivedi. Taapsee, in the meantime, will also star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. She's also working on Jana Gana Mana, Dobaaraa, and Blurr.
