Recently, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's yearly participation at the Cannes Film Festival attracted headlines. She never stops surprising her fans. But did you know, not now, but she walked the red carpet for the first time 20 years ago beside none other than Shah Rukh Khan. 

Fans who anticipate her debut in Cannes every year are never disappointed by her. It is important to remember that the actor initially attended the occasion 20 years ago. She walked with Shah Rukh Khan, her Devdas co-star, wearing a yellow saree and hefty gold jewellery. 

Aishwarya was accompanied by her Devdas co-star back in 2002, who looked sharp in a black suit and bowtie. In a black sherwani, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali also joined them. This occurred when the movie, which had its festival premiere, gained notoriety as one of the most expensive movies ever produced.

Aish's entrance was nothing short of a fantasy as she rode in on a blue chariot and didn't get off until Shah Rukh helped her down. She was the first Bollywood actress to represent India, and her traditional appearance in a Neeta Lulla saree gained her accolades. 

Recently, a photo from that era reappeared online, sending fans into total nostalgia. “The number of Indian celebs at Cannes red carpet grows every year, yet no one has come close to the aura SRK and Aish created together over two decades ago," said Twitter user Shruti with the image.
