Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in the 2018 film Zero opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, had only recently begun shooting for his movie Pathan, which also has John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. Recent reports suggest that SRK and Sanjay Dutt, who have been seen together in earlier projects albeit in limited sequences, could be teaming up for a full-fledged feature film.
As reported in Times of India, the two actors will be seen in an upcoming multilingual film named Rakhee. According to the report, both the actors have already commenced shooting for the movie in Mumbai. The reports also mentioned that the venture will mark the first collaboration of the duo in a venture backed by Viacom 18.
On the other hand, the superstar is also said to have multiple projects in the pipeline including a Rajkumar Hirani film as well as a comedy flick by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
The Family Man director duo Raj and DK revealed in a chat with a film journalist that they will be collaborating with Shah Rukh for a film. Talking about SRK’s reaction to the script, DK told Rajeev Masand that the star immediately fell in love with the story that was narrated to him by them. Furthermore, Raj added, “He (Shah Rukh) did say ‘your script is great, it is important to keep the script intact. So, whatever happens in that journey, make sure the script remains what you guys wanted it to be. Make the film like it should be, don’t be bogged down by the star or actor in it’.”
Recently, SRK was seen in the trailer of R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which is going to be a biographical film based on the life of former scientist Nambi Narayanan. The megastar will also be seen in special appearances in the upcoming flicks - Brahmastra and Laal Singh Chaddha.
