It is the era of Shah Rukh Khan. The Indian superstar made a smashing comeback to the big screen in 2023 after what felt like ages, delivering not one or two but three films with varied filmmakers. However, the five years that went by during the hiatus weren’t easy for the actor, who experienced flops and a massive controversy around his son, who was arrested by the NCB for drug possession. Now, as King Khan bounces back with a thud, he is reflecting on the testing times and has the most moving words to share.

What Shah Ruukh Khan Said
At an award function when he was named the Indian Of The Year, Shah Rukh Khan took a few minutes and gave one of the most moving acceptance speeches in a very long time. “I’d like to say something brash. I have kept my speech written because it is checked three to four times so that I don’t say something stupid and wrong and get picked on for it. But I still would like to say this, which is very, very brash," Shah Rukh said as per News18. “I don’t just feel like the Indian of the Year; I feel I’ve been the Indian of all the years gone by and I will be the Indian for all the years to come. I am, ladies and gentlemen, the Indian for all ages," he added.

He spoke about the last five years, when most of his films flopped and analysts were writing his death knell. He even spoke about the times when Aaryan Khan was arrested, calling it an unpleasant phase. The superstar shared how it all taught him to stay quiet and work hard to achieve his goals.

“I’d like to thank everyone here and people who are watching this on television—hordes of you who came this year to watch my films. Some of you may not have liked them, but I know deep down inside, you came there to support me and my family. So, I bow down to you and thank you for bringing cheer to my family, my children, and my loved ones, and I thank you for making me the star I am yet again," he added.

Shah Rukh Khan Films:

Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen was more of a box office haul as he gave us three films, including Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Atlee’s Jawan alongside Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Sethupathi, and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover. All three films managed to do well at the box office.

Netizens Cannot Control Their Emotions:

Shah Rukh Khan’s words have left most of us emotional, as he didn’t just accept an award but broke silence on everything he has been through in the past five years. Fans on social media are certainly having a meltdown, and it is all justified today. One user on Twitter wrote, “I've just finished listening to the speech, and I'm truly at a loss for words to express. @iamsrk, Sir, it's the most impactful speech I've ever heard in my life! Love you 3000!” Another wrote, “He was indeed very emotional. This has hit hard...really hard. But I thank God from the bottom of my heart that all 3 movies of #ShahRukhKhan worked big time 🙏🙏, so that he can somehow forget the pain and misery of the past 5 years.”
