Shah Rukh Khan CONFIRMS ‘Dunki’ to release during Christmas this year

Yesterday saw one of the grand events of the recent times. It was indeed the success party of the film ‘Jawan’ which was held by the makers of the smash hit film. The event was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, film’s director Atlee and the most stunning Deepika Padukone, who played an ‘effective cameo’ in the film.

The BIG reveal

The said event was definitely memorable for many reasons than one. Amongst everyone, it was Shah Rukh Khan who was the centre of attraction at the event. In his trademark style, Shah Rukh Khan held everyone’s attention when he explained the various meanings of the erm ‘jawan’. Amidst all this, Shah Rukh Khan also revealed that, his most awaited film ‘Dunki' will be releasing this year during Christmas.

Shah Rukh Khan gets candid

To quote Shah Rukh Khan’s exact words, he said, “I am not trying to show off. God has been very kind. We (pointing at Deepika Padukone) have had ‘Pathaan’, God has been even kinder with ‘Jawan’. I always say that we started off on January 26. It’s a good auspicious day. It's Republic Day. We released ‘Jawan’ on Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna. And now that the New Year is coming, we are bringing ‘Dunki’. I keep on doing national integration. As it is, whenever my film releases, it is always Eid!”.

Dunki's teaser during Diwali?

Speaking of ‘Dunki’, besides Shah Rukh Khan, it stars Taapsee Pannu (playing the leading lady) and Boman Irani in extremely important role. The film is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani. As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, it was reported that the film’s teaser might just be dropped during this year’s Diwali. The film ‘Dunki’ marks the coming together of Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani.
