Shah Rukh Khan did not like Lungi Dance initially; Honey Singh told him 'Chahiye toh theek hai, nahi chahiye toh...'

Honey Singh has a very big fan base. In the past, his songs have not only topped the charts but are also loved by listeners of all ages. He and Shah Rukh Khan had worked together on the song 'Lungi Dance' for the film 'Chennai Express,' which also starred Deepika Padukone. This song was a huge hit and is still on most of our playlists and must-play at most parties. 

Honey Singh recently admitted in an interview with ETimes that he no longer finds enjoyment in writing music for Bollywood movies, and he cited a link to Shah Rukh Khan as the reason for this.

The rapper-singer revealed that he has always had trouble making music for Bollywood. Talking about Lungi Dance, Honey Singh said, “When Shah Rukh bhai called me to make a song for Chennai Express, he told me to make something like 'Angreji Beat’. I asked him why, so he said because that song was a huge hit. I told him that I won’t make a song like that but will create a number which has his vibe. I made Lungi Dance and he did not like it. He took three weeks to decide whether he wants the song or not.”

Additionally, Honey Singh commended Akshay Kumar for always trusting his instincts and giving him complete freedom to create the music for his movies.

Following almost a decade, Honey Singh will shortly go on a tour to the US in to promote his latest album, Honey 3.0.

Meanwhile, following Pathaan, SRK will appear in Atlee's Jawan. He is now in the city filming for the movie. Nayanthara, Sunil Grover, and Sanya Malhotra all have significant parts in the movie. In addition to this, he has Dunki, a film by Rajkumar Hirani with Taapsee Pannu. The movie will be released around Christmas 2023.
