Shah Rukh Khan has been constantly working in Bollywood for the past 30 years now. Contributing to over a hundred films for the film industry, he has won several prestigious accolades including a Padma Shri by the Government of India. These days, the 58-year-old Bollywood superstar is promoting his upcoming movie ‘Dunki’ in full swing. Here is what he said about the film at an event in Dubai this evening.

Shah Rukh Khan calls Dunki as a film for him

During Dunki promotions in Dubai this evening, Shah Rukh Khan elaborated on what makes Dunki different from Pathaan and Jawan.

He said, “After being a part of Pathaan and Jawan, I realized I have not made a film for myself. So, I made Dunki. This is my film. This film is close to my heart. I did a film ‘Pathaan’ for the girls and I wanted to end the year with a film for me. So, I did Dunki.”

“I am sure that you will come across scenes in the film which will touch your heart. This film will surely make you laugh,” he wrapped up the conversation.

More about Dunki

Anticipation is reaching a crescendo for the much-awaited release of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film, Dunki, under the direction of Rajkumar Hirani. Following the resounding success of Pathaan and Jawan, SRK appears on the verge of achieving a triumphant hat-trick with this upcoming comedy-drama.

Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 21, Dunki has already received the nod of approval from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) a week before its launch. The censor board conducted its review on December 15, granting the film a U/A certificate. Dunki is slated to run for a total duration of 2 hours and 41 minutes (161 minutes).
