Shah Rukh Khan fulfils cancer patient's last wish of meeting him; promises financial help

Kindness is a sign of strength – a secret which holds true for Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan as well. Recently, a 60-year-old cancer patient Shivani expressed her desire to meet Shah Rukh and cook a simple Bengali meal for him.

A day later, the King Khan of Bollywood responded thereby bringing a smile to the face of the patient. The Pathaan actor has a warm conversation with the patient and his family over a video call. If reports are to be believed, the conversation lasted for about 30 minutes. The star also promised Shivani to help her financially, if needed.

Official fan pages of Shah Rukh Khan claim that “during the call, Shah Rukh said ‘Bye’ three times and seconds later, he started talking again. Not only this, but he also promised financial help. Khan goes on to say that when he will visit Kolkata next, he will surely come to meet her.”

The fan pages also claim that the superstar readily agreed to go on lunch with the family whenever he is in the city next. Hearing this, Shivani broke down into tears.

Earlier this week, actor Manoj Bajpayee heaped praises on the legendary actor Shah Rukh Khan. During the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Sirf Ek  Bandaa Kaafi Hai’, Bajpayee said, “Mujhe bohot khushi hoti hain usko uss mukaam pe dekh ke, jiss tarah ke duniya usne khadi ke apne liye. Ek vyakti jiska pura duniya ujadh chuka tha, 26 saal ke umar mein, aur uska pura parivaar ja chuka tha, phir usne apni duniya khadi ki, parivaar apna create kiya, apne liye itna bada naam, izaat banaya (I feel very happy to see him achieve this level of success. He had lost his family, rebuilt everything, from his career to his personal life).

Clearly, Shah Rukh Khan is a King of Hearts as well. He will next be seen in the film Jawan alongside actors Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi that is slated to be released in September this year.
