After his successful collaboration with Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan might join forces with another South director. Buzz is that the superstar is in talks with the Pushpa 2 director Sukumar for a movie. Rumors were rife that SRK's film with Sukumar would be an intense and dark psychological thriller. Shah Rukh Khan to play anti-hero in Sukumar's film?
According to a Mid-Day report, Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly be seen in a 'raw and rustic' avatar in Sukumar's movie. The movie is expected to address some social issues.
"King Khan will play an anti-hero, but this will be a rural political action drama that promises to show him in a raw, rustic, and desi avatar that blends his mass appeal with his global superstar image. It will also explore social issues like caste and class oppression," a source told the tabloid.
Although SRK and Sukumar are apparently discussing their next, it may take a while for the duo to start working on it. It's because they are busy with other projects. The filmmaker reportedly has RC17 and a romantic drama with Ram Charan lined up. Besides that, he has to work on Allu Arjun's Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
"SRK has King, and Pathaan 2 in his kitty. SRK has reportedly told filmmakers eager to work with him that they’ll have to wait for two years before he can consider their projects. King kicks off in May in a start-to-finish schedule," the source revealed.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie is King. This film will mark his on-screen union with his daughter Suhana Khan. Suhana made her acting debut with Netflix film The Archies in 2023.
