Shah Rukh Khan is No. 1 on IMDb's 2023 list; find out where Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone's stand on the list

IMDb on Wednesday revealed the Top 10 Most Popular Indian Stars of 2023. This exclusive list is based on the real page views of over 200 million monthly users who visit IMDb globally. 

This year, Shah Rukh Khan—the IMDb No. 1 Indian celebrity of 2023—starred in two blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan, which attracted an unprecedented amount of attention from fans all across the world. His roles in Jawan and Pathaan brought in a combined amount of Rs 2,200 crore worldwide. Dunki, his third movie of the year, is scheduled for release in December.

Two of his Jawan co-stars were also listed in IMDb's top 10: Nayanthara came in at number five and Vijay Sethupathi at number 10. Sethupathi had a busy 2023, starring in five other films, including the highly regarded Viduthalai Part 1, as well as the OTT series Farzi. On the other hand, Jawan ruled Nayanthara's year.

In addition to making her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone as a villain, Alia Bhatt secured the number two position with her performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. With her role in Pathaan and a lengthy appearance in Jawan, Deepika Padukone secured the third position, while Wamiqa Gabbi secured the fourth spot with significant roles in streaming titles like Khufiya, Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley, and Jubilee.

Tamannaah Bhatia, who ranked sixth, starred in three streaming films this year, in addition to the popular Tamil movie Jailer. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who made her streaming service debut with Jaane Jaan, placed seventh, with Made in Heaven actress Sobhita Dhulipala coming in eighth. In ninth place is Akshay Kumar, who is still having trouble at the movie office even though he starred in the smash hit OMG 2. Vijay Sethupathi is at number 10 for starring in Jawan and Farzi.
